Yep. That's three months income to put into investments. You don't get opportunities to get ahead like that often.

The latest information is the girl fell through a porthole while her family was playing shuffleboard. I'm surprised there isn't more information, pictures, or footage of exactly what happened (I guess Disney is controlling that), but some folks are saying all the portholes have plexiglass, others are saying some portholes don't, but I'd have to imagine this is a negligence nightmare for Disney if a child could somehow fall through one. I'm also surprised (but also not) that we haven't seen the dad/child doing tv interviews yet.

It’s the city of Hebron which is in the West Bank. So what they’re proposing is succession from the Palestinian Territories, they form an Emirate (like the gulf states but with no oil or money) and they’d recognize Israel.

Sorry for you and your family's loss even if a partial blessing. My father suffered from dementia - and my brothers and I fear our futures. All of us would rather die too soon than too late. I really can't say when I lost contact with the person I thought of as my father - though it seemed to come post surgery, perhaps from some mini-strokes.

@Renauda said in Maga goes after the chemtrails: The term for that is the normalization of deviance. That term always makes me think of the Piper Alpha disaster. The repercussions from that is how I ended up doing what I've done for the last 36 years.

I wonder if the majority opinion will begin with "Heh... anyway, it is this high court's opinion..."

@taiwan_girl said in This seems weird: I wonder if someone sat down with him and asked him if a) He admires President Reagan b) why or why not, with specific details to back up his admiration or unadmiration. I mean they asked him what the Declaration of Independence meant to him, which he also has framed on his wall, and he said something about how it's "a document full of love", LOL. I bet if you asked what Trump thought about Reagan he'd say... "Ronald Reagan... the actor?!" Link to video

I wonder how much Iranian groceries cost. Maybe they have a device that automatically cuts your fucking hand off if you don't return the shopping cart - wouldn't that be something?

I think, best case for Elon, is it will win 2-3 senate seats and 8-10 house seats and be swing for fiscal sanity. But that’s tough to pull off even with his money.

Thanks for sharing. It was interesting, but I think I am just as confused about US healthcare was I was before. 555 Look, single payer has a lot of advantages economically, policy wise Is the above true? and I think one of the most astonishing facts I've ever come across is after the Freddie Gray riots, we found that two areas three miles apart in Baltimore have a 17-year difference in life expectancy. Three miles, 17 years. One is 84, one is 67. 67 is lower than North Korea. And a lot of the factors are economic opportunities, people are much poorer. A lot of it is access to healthcare. That is a tough one. A person gets shot in a rich area, better hospital etc. Person gets shot in a poor area, not so much. But, a person in a rich area has a much lower chance of getting shot. So, while access to healthcare is important, it is not the root cause. Giving people in poor violent areas better access to healthcare may not improve the life span that much if the root is not taken care of.

Gigantic jets are a subset of “blue jets,” [image: 1751723430625-fbb0cc38-066b-461e-8e50-b0c80d578d42-image.png]
